Housekeeping

June 20th, 2010

Peter Griffin on housekeepingWith my PostFlight system running smoothly (for the time being – PLEASE let me know if you find any problems, I’ll clean em up right away!), I decided it was time to turn attention back to the old blog for a little cleanup and some new ideas. TDK now runs WP 3.0, plus I quickly wrote up a new, lightweight theme to speed things up. I added a bunch of links and modernized the search. And there’s a nice new threaded comment system. I still need to add more posts (I have about 30 drafts going at the moment), but I figure quality is better than quantity here, aiming for the best possible signal-to-noise ratio for your viewing pleasure.

Oh, there’s a new Prototype-based KN calculator over there on the left side, too (JSKN). I plan to add more functionality as time goes along, but I’ve had this one sitting around for a while (to run on my iPod, when it’s too much work to fire up a PC) and figured it’d be good to unleash it. Let me know if you experience issues with that, too, I’ll see what I can do.

So yeah, no technical information in this post – but I hope you like the new look, and the fresh content! More on the way.

Vacuum Bagging

December 28th, 2007

I added text on Vacuum Bagging to the Composite Layups post. It’s a bit tedious without pictures; hopefully I can get a few tomorrow or the next day to help out a bit. Go tear it apart and let me know what needs to be added!
